2 years experience · English +1
Hi! I'm Kashish, a Spoken English and Communication Skills Trainer who believes that learning English should feel natural and enjoyable. Over the past two years, I've had the opportunity to teach students with different learning styles and goals. One thing I've learned is that everyone can improve their English when they're given the right guidance and a comfortable space to practice. That's why I focus on creating a classroom where students feel encouraged to speak, ask questions, and learn from their mistakes without fear of being judged. My classes go beyond grammar rules and textbook exercises. I believe English is a skill that grows through conversation and consistent practice. I use real-life situations, interactive activities, role plays, vocabulary-building exercises, and practical speaking tasks to help students communicate with confidence in everyday life. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps in English or someone looking to improve fluency, pronunciation, or communication skills, I tailor my lessons to match your pace and learning goals. Every student learns differently, and I enjoy making lessons engaging, supportive, and personalized. Seeing my students become more confident—from hesitating to speak a sentence to expressing themselves comfortably—is the most rewarding part of my work. My goal is not just to help you speak better English but to help you enjoy the learning process and believe in your own abilities. I look forward to being a part of your English-learning journey and helping you communicate with clarity, confidence, and ease.

I’m a teacher who has spent a lot of time working with students studying Economics and Business, from students just starting to explore these subjects through to IGCSE, A-Level and IB Diploma students preparing for their final exams. The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students get to the point where something that seemed complicated suddenly makes sense. I mostly teach Economics and Business, and I can also support students with Accounting. I work with students studying IGCSE/GCSE, AS & A Level, IB and VCE, as well as younger students who want to build their foundations before starting one of these courses. My lessons are not about sitting and listening to me talk for an hour. We work through past paper questions and explore ideas together, figure out what you already understand, find the areas that are causing problems, and then practise using that knowledge. A big part of my teaching is helping students understand the difference between knowing the subject and knowing how to get marks in an exam. You might understand inflation perfectly well but struggle to write a strong Economics essay. You might know the Business theory but not know how to apply it to a case study. You might be able to calculate an Accounting answer but not understand why the calculation works. These are exactly the kinds of problems we can work on. For exam students, we can focus on things such as answer structure, diagrams, calculations, analysis, evaluation, case-study application and exam technique. For IB Economics students, that can include Paper 1, Paper 2, HL Paper 3 and support with understanding the IA process. I also like using real businesses, current events and real economic situations whenever possible. Economics and Business make much more sense when you can see why they matter outside the classroom. I have an MBA and a Master’s in Global Project Management, so I bring quite a lot of real business thinking into my teaching as well. If you are struggling, behind, changing courses, aiming for a top grade, or simply want someone to explain things in a different way, that is fine. The goal is pretty simple: understand what you are learning, know how to use it, and become much more confident doing it yourself. I can also tutor Global Perspectives for IGCSE and TOK for IB. I am experienced in IBDP Economics Extended Essays. I have extensive experince with public speaking and events such as World Scholars Cup.

Tyler W.
Columbus, OH, United States
14 years experience · English
I'm a licensed Intervention Specialist (mild to moderate, K-12) and spent five years teaching special education in Columbus City Schools before serving four years as a principal of a 400-student school. That combination means two things for your family. I know how to teach a student who has been told, in one way or another, that they're behind. And I know what's happening on the other side of the table at an IEP meeting, because I've sat there as the administrator. What I help with Reading, writing, and math support for K-12 students, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, learning disabilities, ADHD, and processing differences Executive function: organization, planning, getting started, following through Understanding your child's IEP or evaluation, and preparing for the meeting so you walk in knowing what to ask for Students who've lost confidence and need to believe they can do the work before they'll try it How I work I start by finding out what your child can already do, not just where they're struggling. Then we set a small number of clear, specific goals and work toward them at a pace that builds momentum. I keep parents informed about what we're working on and what I'm seeing. I taught for five years in a large urban district where almost every student came in below grade level. I learned there that pace matters less than whether a kid believes the next step is possible. That's still how I teach. I'm in Columbus and available for in-person or online sessions.

Hi, I'm Max. I really believe that learning a language doesn't have to be suffering. What I have found -- is that when you have a clear objective, when you really want to understand and connect with someone. You will be able to communicate. When you find the right tutor, the way that you learn best, and have a real desire to learn (when you know why you want to learn), learning a language can become more than just "a task". It becomes joyful! Why are we learning new languages? Is it really just to get that new job? Is it really just to get through a meeting? My classes are designed to take you on a journey. A journey through English, but also a journey through yourself! Let's connect and see if my classes are right for you :) Best, Max

Learner-centred, patient, and goal-driven. I believe every learner can make progress with the right support, approach, and encouragement. I adapt my lessons to your learning style, pace, strengths, and areas for improvement, while keeping your learning objectives at the heart of every session. Whether we are working on English, ESL, phonics, Science, or History, I make learning engaging, practical, and purposeful. I don’t simply teach and move on, I monitor your progress, adjust my approach when needed, and stay committed to helping you achieve your goals. We keep learning, practising, and improving until you get there. A little extra about me: I understand learning psychology and how learners develop confidence, motivation, and independence. As a licensed Counsellor, I bring that understanding into my teaching too. So while you’re gaining knowledge and skills, I want you to grow in confidence and your sense of what you’re capable of. We’re not just working towards better results; we’re building a better, more confident learner along the way.

I love meeting students right where they are, whether that's in a classroom setting or one-on-one support tailored just for you. Over the years, I've found that the best learning happens when it feels personal, not one-size-fits-all, so I bring both creativity and structure to how I teach. My goal is simple: to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, thinking things through out loud, and actually enjoying the process of learning. No judgment, no pressure, just genuine curiosity and steady support as you build confidence and skills that stick. I can't wait to work with you.

Hi! I’m an experienced elementary teacher who has had the wonderful opportunity to teach children in different parts of the world. Working with students from different cultures and backgrounds has been one of my favourite parts of teaching, and I love learning about the world through my students too! My teaching style is warm, encouraging, creative, and personalised. I don’t believe learning should feel like a chore~ I want to make it fun, engaging, and meaningful. I love finding ways to connect what we are learning to a child’s interests, experiences, and everyday life so that it feels relevant and exciting to them. Whether we’re working on reading, phonics, writing, English, maths, or general school support, I’ll meet your child where they are and help them build both their skills and their confidence. I’m patient and supportive, and I celebrate progress along the way, including the little wins! Most importantly, I see teaching as a two-way relationship. Of course, I’m there to teach your child, but I also look forward to learning from them ~ their interests, their ideas, their culture, and the way they see the world. Every student is different, and that’s what makes teaching so rewarding for me. I can’t wait to make learning something your child looks forward to! 🌎📚✨
